Gina Galvez, MS, PA-C is a Physician Assistant Lifestyle coach specializing in integrative and functional medicine. She graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology, followed by a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from Long Island University in New York City.

Gina studied nutritional coaching at the Academy of Healing Nutrition, received her Reiki Master Teacher certification, and is completing further Nutritional Training at The Institute for Functional Medicine.

Gina’s experience in orthopedic surgery at New York University, which encompassed a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders in athletes, the elderly, and the disabled, cemented her passion for helping people taking her health and wellbeing to the next level. Also, her 3 -year experience as an Assistant Professor and Admissions Director in Long Island University’s Physician Assistant program gave her the additional set of skills needed to establish herself as a well-trained practitioner in the integrative workings of the body.

A practitioner of different healing modalities for 5+ years where she integrates healing traditions from her father’s Peruvian heritage and medical knowledge into her Reiki technique, Gina is a firm believer that Reiki activates the natural healing process patient’s body and restore physical and emotional wellbeing. She brings her multi-dimensional approach when working with patients whose symptoms range from an array of medical diseases and injuries to depression and PTSD, among others. She’s keen on integrating spiritual healing to help clear energetic blockages while assisting her patients to reach their highest potential. Gina’s expertise and passion include:

  • helping people with chronic disease by finding the root cause of their medical and nutritional challenges.
  • Supporting and empowering her patients in achieving greater wellbeing through diet and lifestyle modification.
  • Teaching people how to gain control of their lives by providing them with the tools to live a healthier, balanced lifestyle.
  • Educate patients and healthcare providers about holistic healthcare via integrative and functional medicine, nutrition, and different mind-body medicine techniques such as Reiki
  • Offering personalized, one-on-one coaching focused on preventing and reversing disease and promoting general wellness.

Gina’s supportive and integrative approach guides her patients into greater wellbeing through small, sustainable change that enhances energy, balance, health, and quality-of-life.

Her practice is rooted in the belief that health is more than just the absence of disease and is achieved by treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. This comprehensive approach considers the uniqueness of each individual and the varied and interconnected elements that influence wellbeing. By examining the physical, emotional, dietary, environmental, and lifestyle factors of each of her clients, Gina strives to uncover and counsel around the root causes that get in the way of living a vibrant, full life.

Gina enjoys yoga, hiking, running, rollerblading, meditation, painting, camping, gardening, cooking nutritious farm-to-table meals, reading books, and studying plant medicine in her free time.

She also volunteers for the Center for Biological Diversity to bring awareness to the animal extinction crisis. It is Gina’s mission to care for the Earth and heal all living things in need.
