Functional & Integrative Nutritionist

Allyson Kleinbrodt is a Certified Health Coach and Functional Nutritionist passionate about helping individuals achieve lasting health and vitality through personalized, integrative approaches. With a deep belief in the body’s inherent ability to heal, Allyson guides her clients beyond conventional health systems, offering them the tools and support they need to thrive.

Allyson’s journey is a testament to her deep understanding of health and wellness. It began at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where, in 2001, she pursued a degree in Dietetics. However, she soon recognized the limitations and corporate influences shaping mainstream nutrition practices. This insight led her to pivot, earning a master’s in 2005 in communication studies and thriving in the field of organizational development. But it was her personal battle with chronic health challenges that reignited her passion for true, root-cause health solutions.

After years of unanswered health concerns and frustration with conventional medical approaches, Allyson sought alternative, integrative solutions. Through extensive research and collaboration with progressive health practitioners, she discovered optimal health wasn’t about managing symptoms but finding and addressing the root causes of imbalance. This discovery was life-changing, restoring her health and inspiring her to help others do the same.

Allyson’s personal health journey has been marked by a deep commitment to helping others achieve optimal nutritional health, wellness, and lasting vitality. Driven by a desire for her passion for Functional Medicine, in 2011, she earned her certification as a Functional Nutritionist from the Global College of Natural Medicine, laying the foundation for her career. Over the years, she expanded her expertise with a Health Coach certification, completed coursework in Functional Medicine in 2021, and gained a Nutrition certification from Precision Nutrition in 2024. Her dedication to ongoing education keeps her at the cutting edge of her field. Additionally, Allyson’s 2006 certification as a Myers-Briggs practitioner enhances her ability to support clients holistically, combining nutrition, health coaching, and a profound understanding of personality dynamics to guide them toward sustainable well-being.

Allyson brings an impressive array of nutritional knowledge and experience, enriched by her personal and transformative health journey, to the Akasha Center, where she aims to help her patients achieve transformative results through integrative and functional nutrition practices.
