Dao, a renowned Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, to their esteemed team. With over 20 years of experience delivering quality care in Hawaii and California, Dr. Dao now brings his expertise in Integrative Medicine to The Akasha Center, offering in-person and Telehealth services to Santa Monica.
As a board-certified physician, Dr. Dao’s extensive background includes serving as the Medical Director for Hawaii’s Triple Crown of Surfing and as the personal physician to the world’s best professional surfers. His experience also spans numerous film and television productions, where he served as an on-set physician for both cast and crew. Dr. Dao’s healthcare approach is deeply rooted in treating the whole person, emphasizing a strong connection between patient and practitioner.
Raised in Southern California, Dr. Dao graduated from the University of California at San Diego, majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Visual Arts. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Dr. Dao’s innovative contributions to medicine include inventing the Cleanblade Surgical device and developing the SUPER Tennis Elbow Brace.
