Maggie Ney, ND, MSCP
Co-Director of the Women’s Clinic at The Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine | Co-Founder of HelloPeri | Co-Founder of MenoTalks | Brand Partner at MenoLabs
Dr. Maggie Ney is a licensed naturopathic doctor and Menopause Society–Certified Practitioner specializing in hormone optimization, metabolic health, and healthy aging for women in midlife. She is Co-Director of the Women’s Clinic at The Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine, where she provides deeply personalized, evidence-based care for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
Dr. Ney is known for her comprehensive, root-cause approach to women’s health, combining evidence-based hormone therapy, lifestyle medicine, nervous system regulation, and targeted herbal and nutrient therapies to support women through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond—a time when many women feel unseen, dismissed, or undertreated in conventional medicine.
She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, a leading institution in naturopathic and integrative medicine. Her clinical work reflects a powerful blend of modern medical science and whole-person care, helping women restore energy, mood, metabolism, and long-term vitality.
Clinical Focus Areas
Dr. Ney specializes in:
- Perimenopause & menopause care
- Hormone therapy
- GLP-1–supported weight management & metabolic health
- Healthy aging & Longevity
- Thyroid & adrenal health
- Menstrual disorders & PMS
- Fertility & reproductive health
- Digestive & gut health
- Allergies and Immune regulation
Her Integrative Approach
Dr. Ney partners closely with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan that goes beyond symptom management to address the underlying drivers of imbalance — including hormones, inflammation, metabolic health, gut health, stress physiology, and nervous system regulation.
Treatment plans may include:
- Hormone therapy
- GLP-1–based weight management support when appropriate
- Clinical nutrition and metabolic optimization
- Herbal and nutrient therapy
- Nervous system regulation and stress-resilience strategies
- Lifestyle and behavioral medicine
- Prescription medications when indicated
A defining pillar of her work is nervous system regulation—recognizing that chronic stress, trauma, and burnout directly impact hormones, weight, sleep, inflammation, and aging. By helping patients shift out of survival mode and into physiological safety, healing becomes more efficient, sustainable, and profound.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Ney believes the body can heal when properly supported. Symptoms are not random—they are signals of deeper imbalance. Her role is to identify and remove the obstacles to health while providing the body with what it needs to thrive, especially during the powerful transition of midlife.
She is deeply committed to helping women feel strong, clear, energized, and confident in their bodies as they age—so they can live fully and go after all the things in life that truly light them up.
Professional Leadership
Dr. Ney is an active member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Co-Founder of HelloPeri, a modern digital platform for women navigating perimenopause, and Co-Founder of MenoTalks, a live event series creating meaningful spaces for women to gather for education, connection, and community around midlife and menopause. She is also a brand expert for MenoLabs, a company devoted to women’s midlife health, and a frequent lecturer and educator on women’s health.
