Deanne Newton brings over two decades of experience to the Akasha Center as a highly skilled Physician Assistant with a passion for root-cause healing and whole-person care. Her clinical focus blends functional gut health, regenerative medicine, and integrative dermatology to help patients achieve long-term wellness from the inside out.

Deanne holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and a Master’s in Exercise and Cardiac Rehabilitation. In addition to her academic background, she has completed advanced training in functional medicine through IFM, as well as specialized education in musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided joint injections. Her diverse training equips her with a breadth and depth of skills that distinguish her from traditionally trained physician assistants.

Deanne began her clinical career in orthopedic surgery, where she served as a first assistant in joint replacement procedures and performed joint injections and postoperative care. Her practice then expanded into both medical and cosmetic dermatology, treating thousands of patients for conditions ranging from acne and eczema to psoriasis and skin cancer.

Her evolving interest in uncovering the why behind chronic illness led her to pursue functional medicine, where she developed a keen focus on gut health, immune dysregulation, and systemic inflammation as core contributors to disease.

At the Akasha Center, Deanne designs personalized, integrative care plans that may include gut-healing protocols, nutrition and supplement guidance, IV nutrient therapy, PRP regenerative treatments, and musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided injections. Her goal is always to identify the root cause of symptoms and empower patients with tools to restore balance and vitality.
