You inherit your DNA from your parents, your parents inherited their DNA from their parents, and so on. 99.5% of your DNA is identical to every other human on the planet. Only the .5% left is what makes us unique individuals when compared to one another. These variations are called “mutations” or “SNiP” (single nucleotide polymorphism).
